This paper connects many of the gender and health ideas to the Hutterites in a formal way. In this paper, the Hutterites and their notions of health are looked at under the scope of health as a social construction. It argues that the Hutterite health norms in 1940-1990 were created by their social climate, which was produced from their secluded and Christian lifestyle.
